If spring showers bring May flowers, then New Westminster gardens should sprout bright, lively buds next month.
Weatherhood is predicting heavy rain to start falling on the city as early as tomorrow evening, April 25, with around 20 mm expected.
And while no formal warning has been put in place, as of this publication, April 24, that same precipitation total is also in Sunday's forecast, according to the regional organization.
Little wind is on the radar, less than 5 km/h each day for the rest of the week (see chart below).
As well, Weatherhood says temperatures will be on the warmer side of the thermometer during the rainfall, reaching daily highs of nearly 15°C with a 75 per cent humidity.
The lows are expected to dip to between 5 and 10°C.
The last significant rainfall in a 24-hour period for New West, according to the weather recognition system FieldClimate, was on March 11 when more than 18 mm accumulated across the city.
