New Westminster's cheapest gas went up a cent in the last week.
However, decreases at other local stations has brought down the city's average price by a significant margin.
Petro-Canada on 12th Street dipped six cents to $1.79 per litre — seven days after posting the most expensive fuel in New West — while Centex and Fetch Panda remained unchanged at the same price.
Everywhere else, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report, is offering $1.80 per litre, as of this publication, Aug. 9, which is also New West's average price ahead of the weekend.
That's a decline of three cents from $1.83 per litre last Friday, Aug. 2.
Metro Vancouver's cheapest price for gas sits at $1.70 per litre at Super Save Gas along 200 Street in Langley.
B.C.'s most affordable price is roughly 85 km east of New West: $1.61 per litre at multiple locations in Chilliwack.
