Letter: Train whistles — at some New West crossings — can be helpful

This letter writer believes train whistles can help pedestrians and commuters be more alert.

Re: When will train whistles stop in Sapperton? How about Sapperton and the West End? (May 7, 2024)

At some crossings, you can't hear a train coming toward you until the engineer sound the whistle.

Try standing by a train crossing and see if you can hear the train approaching you. 

Safety comes first.

We don't want some one killed because they can't sound the whistle.
