A teenager was punched by an unknown assailant while taking photos in Westminster Pier Park.
New West police were called to Pier Park on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at about 2 p.m. in response to an unprovoked attack on a teenager. Police says the youth was taking photographs in the park when an unknown man allegedly punched the youth and fled the area.
“This cruel incident was very distressing for the young man,” said NWPD spokesperson Sgt. Justine Thom. “This is being treated extremely seriously. We are determined to find the offender and we are pursuing all lines of inquiry to track them down.”
After putting out a description of the suspect, police announced a suspect had been located.
