The New West Pride Street Festival, pictured here in 2023, will cap off a full week of events celebrating love for community.

Celebrating and supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

That's the mantra for the next eight days in New Westminster as a Progress Pride flag raising in Tipperary Park next to city hall today, Aug. 9, officially kicked off Pride Week.

Next on tap is a Drag Brunch fundraising event at Sanctuary on 6th Church with donations set to support of Trans Youth.

The annual New West Pride Street Festival along Columbia will cap off the slate of events; opening remarks are schedule for 3 p.m. on the community stage, followed by a Pride pet parade, several live performances and lots of food and market vendors.
