We're continuing with our popular feature, The Record's Top Five (or More) Things to Do this weekend. Here are our staff's suggestions for the Jan. 25 to 27 weekend.

1 Enjoy some Neil Diamond tunes when Bobby Bruce performs at Moonrakers Pub and Grill. Bruce will bring his entertaining Neil Diamond tribute show to the local establishment on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. Moonrakers is located at 525 Seventh St. Tickets are $10 and available at www.moonraker spub.com.

2 Learn about volunteering opportunities that may pique your curiosity at the New Westminster Festival of Volunteers.

More than 30 local non-profit organizations are expected to attend and share information about their programs at the annual event. The 2013 New Westminster Festival of Volunteers takes place on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Royal City Centre from 9: 30 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m.

3 Support the Royal City Humane Society's efforts to help animals in need by taking part in the group's pub night fundraiser. The event takes place on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Grill, 447 Columbia St. Tickets are $20 and include a burger, fries or salad and one drink. The event also includes a silent auction and toonie toss. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 604-524-6447.

4Explore the world at the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Show, which includes presentations by travel and tour companies on a variety of vacations. The show also includes a chance to talk to travel experts and door prizes, including a $500 travel certificate. The travel show takes place on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Fraser River Discovery Centre, 788 Quayside Dr. People are asked to bring a donation for the food bank. 5Get moving and register the kids for spring sports leagues. New West Baseball is holding registration for its 2013 season on Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centennial Community Centre, 65 East Sixth Ave. More information is available at new westbaseball.com.

If lacrosse is more to your kids' liking, New Westminster Minor Lacrosse is holding its registration on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Queen's Park Arena.
