Letter: Thanks for waiving the block party fee in New West

I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to the City of New Westminster for waiving a $39 fee and giving its residents the privilege of hosting a community get-together on their own street without charging them.

How nice of the city to not to nickel and dime its residents and for allowing them to spend time with their own neighbours. We owe you a debt of gratitude for the authorization to be outside in our neighbourhood and not have to worry about a permit and paying you a fee for it. Thank you!
