Tick, Tick … Boom!
Check out the Vagabond Players’ latest production, Tick, Tick ... Boom!, a musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of RENT. This musical, written in 1990, tells a story of turning 30 years old and having to make choices for the future. It’s on stage from Nov. 28 to Dec. 15.

Lighting of the Firehall
Kick off the festive season at the Lighting of the Firehall 2024 event at the Queensborough fire hall. Community members can meet Santa and Sparky the Fire Dog, sip hot cocoa, enjoy baked treats from Take the Cake, and dance to holiday music performed by the QMS band.

Analog Vinyl Record Fair
Spend an afternoon shopping for vinyl albums and chatting with music lovers and craft beer enthusiasts at Steel & Oak Brewing Co.’s annual Analog Vinyl Record Fair. The event’s laid-back vibe gives vinyl lovers to chat about music, shop for albums from a wide range of genres (including alternative, punk, heavy metal, to jazz, funk and folk), listen to DJ music, and enjoy a beer or beverage. Sunday’s event includes a raffle and a “bring your own vinyl” session, where guests can share a side of their favourite record or spin their latest finds on the brewery’s turntables.

Shine Bright New West kick-off

Shine Bright: Share the Warmth
Support your fellow citizens by dropping off a donation at the Share the Warmth donation campaign event, which supports the local Don’t Go Hungry program. Community members can drop off well-preserved toys and winter wear like toques, scarves, and mittens.

Let It Snow
Immerse yourself in an unforgettable afternoon of music at Let It Snow, a special joint production featuring the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir and Winter Harp. Winter Harp will take you back to Christmases past with its ethereal, medieval-inspired music, stunning period costumes, and rare instruments and the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir will perform a repertoire that includes traditional and contemporary choral pieces.
