Letter: 'Failed experiment' in decriminalization of drugs seen in New West

New West resident says overdose deaths continue to rise and public disorders has increased since some drugs were decriminalized
New Westminster public library
Letter writers continue to express concerns about drug use around the library.

The Editor,

Open-air drug use around the uptown library is out of control.

The experiment in legalization of hard drugs has increased public disorder.

All of the disorder in uptown New Westminster is connected to this failed initiative.

Overdose deaths continue to rise.

I’m embarrassed to bring my young nephews to the library anymore.

Enough is enough.

Let’s get rid of this failed experiment and make our neighbourhood safe again.
